Figure AI builds general-purpose humanoid robots aimed at transforming hard, repetitive tasks in manufacturing, logistics, and industrial settings. We invested in their Series B round in February 2024, when Figure AI raised $675 million at a $2.6 billion valuation with backing from Microsoft, NVIDIA, the OpenAI Startup Fund, Jeff Bezos, INTEL Capital, ARK Invest, and others. Shortly after our investment, Figure secured a commercial agreement with BMW to begin deploying their humanoid robots into automotive manufacturing environments with a phased approach. They also announced plans to ship 100,000 humanoid robots over the next few years, reflecting the scale at which they expect demand and deployment to grow. Figure AI continues to push forward in refining its robotics platforms and scaling operations, placing itself among the leaders in bringing humanoid robotics closer to widespread industrial adoption.
